In order to understand the media, we must watch the media with the understanding of the messages the often projected without our knowledge.  It is also good to analyze the media and monitor the type of misconceptions that are being disseminated about Islam and Muslims.  It helps us to pin point key issues we need to address in the newspaper as well as in discussion groups.
